day 230: breakfast at mammy's

It was so nice to wake up at Mammy's house! And we get to do it for the next almost two weeks (minus daddy who leaves to go back to AZ soon).

day 229: Vacation!

I really miss the green here!

We had a full day planned of taking pictures of the newest addition to our family -->Miss Sadie Rae (more pictures to come!), meeting new family --> Peyton, Presley and Luke!, and just playing until we drop!

Vaughn was at his breaking point. It was a loooong day of flying followed by a loooong day of playing hard on the good ol' hills of Pennsylvania!

day 224: planes!

As a reward for filling up his responsibility chart, Vaughn got to go see the movie, Planes. He was so excited. Since we have the books, the iPad app and a small Dusty and Dottie toy, he was all ready. I don't think he stopped smiling from when we got in the car until we arrived in the theater. He loves having date with me and Dave, too!

According to Vaughn:
Tonight Vaughn and Dave were talking about how mammy got Vaughn's pajamas. Vaughn told Dave, "She is a really good girl. You have a really nice mom."

day 235: desert

This is where we live.

The saguaro cacti are the huge ones.

Cacti is the plural word for cactus.

The mountains are pretty.

The sand really scrapes up knees even if the fall is pretty light.

It barely rains in the desert, but when it does, it's wonderful. It's beautiful and tends to cool things down a little.

Lizards, javelina, rattlesnakes, scorpions, oh, my!

day 234: brothers - vaughn almost 4, Nolan at 16 months

We did a little mini session since we haven't gotten coordinating pictures of the boys for quite some time. I actually don't know that I've ever done a "session" with the two of them together.  I'm a photographer and yet, we barely have any pictures on the walls. That is going to change, my friends!

Here are the few I got edited.

I love his eyes and I know he has a big head, but the way he's standing, he totally looks like a bobble head! Not in a mean way, of course! In a super cute, large head for a large brain kind of bobble head.
