day 59: model

I always pass a little park/green belt by my house and wondered if it'd be a good place for photos. The trees line up nicely and there's a bit of a hill, but there's too much distraction around. I got fun pics of Vaughn (on my phone) trying to test it out though!

day 58: hiking recap

I forgot to post the pics I took on my phone. Love these two little kiddos!

day 57: zoo day

If we have nothing to do, any given day, we have the opportunity to go see giraffes, flamingos, white tigers, kangaroos amongst other animals and even fish including sharks! We are so incredibly blessed to have amazing family who have gotten us a year pass and even more lucky to have a zoo that is 10 minutes away from our house. Vaughn has no idea how fortunate he is that he can go see some really cool animals any day of the week.

With the pass, we often go for an hour or so to get out of the house and it's even more fun when we go with friends!

day 56: playing together

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the boys are starting to play together. Nolan just wants to do anything his big brother is doing. Recently, Vaughn has been bringing toys over to Nolan and trying to keep him occupied and happy. It's so nice. I know they'll eventually fight but I just love these moments when they're happily enjoying each others' company.

day 55: best friends

So far, Vaughn is really great with Nolan. We still have to keep a close eye on the two of them as Vaughn can get a little rough, but for the most part he is in love with his little bro.

It makes bath time easier...umm, okay, not easier but not a whole night thing when these two crazy boys can get a bath together. Something I'm constantly telling Vaughn not to do is chew on the wash cloth. A few nights ago, I couldn't get the wash rag out of either of their mouths! Yes, gross, but too cute!

day 54: hiking

Two posts for today! Well, technically three. I'm on a roll!

It was a beautiful day so we went to the White Tank Mountains to go hiking. Nolan had a very rough morning (as I already posted) so we thought some fresh air would help. We were right, as always. LOL! We're not always right but it felt good today.

Vaughn wanted to "rock climb" on every rock so we let him do a few. Nolan basically hung out in the stroller chewing on his strawberry teether.

Happy (2nd part of the) day.

Happy boys.

Happy family.

pictures that should've been posted to day 3

I didn't think I took any pictures of Vaughn building his house, but I did! ...on the point and shoot. Yes, I have too many cameras. Here's a follow up from this post:

oh and I forgot that he measured it too. Such a little carpenter!

day 54: poor baby

Nolan has been crying nonstop since he woke up this morning. I felt in his mouth and he has not one, not two, not three, but FOUR little teethers coming through. His teeth are coming in the same way Vaughn's did except a little later.

I don't think it's going so well. I gave him a little orajel then all he wanted to do was nurse and sleep. Hopefully, he'll nap for a while.

Poor baby!

day 53: a cat, a cow and a chicken

This was my life today. Hanging out with these animals and making baby food. Lots and lots of baby food since Nolan is still choking on table food.

This is what Nolan looks like when he's just hanging out. HILARIOUS!
This is what he looks like when he realizes you're looking at him.

day 52: teeth, eyes, on the move

Nolan still only has four teeth. It's difficult to get pictures of those buggers and it's not usually the most attractive pictures, but I did it. Woot woot.

Nolan is also finally starting to get some kind of color to his eyes. So crazy that Vaughn's eyes are just full of the most gorgeous blue and Nolan's are just dark and pretty much colorless. I was trying to get the light in his eyes so you could see the tinge of lighter brown.

Those baby blues must have sucked up all of mine and dave's colored eyes ability.

Today, Nolan figured out how to sit after pulling himself up to stand. This is an awesome feat because he's been pulling himself up for at least two months now but then gets stuck.

He also started "cruising" this week as well and is on the move crawling/scooting/projecting himself all over the house. It just makes me realize how much tile we have and how hard it is to keep it clean.
