*Baby Steps* Milestones and Benchmarks...4 MONTHS OLD

2/14/10: Vaughn screamed during his bath for the first time. He was struggling with us so hard, it was very difficult to give him a bath. We hope this is a (short) phase...2/22/10 update - every bath since, he's HATED by screaming bloody murder. This is not fun!; 3/4/10 update - he only started to cry when his hair started to get washed...getting better. 3/10/10 update - he likes bath time again!

2/17/10: When we were on the back porch together, Vaughn passed his yellow teether from his right hand to his left then back to his right.
2/17/10 (week of): Vaughn has finally started to fall asleep in the car. Instead of screaming the entire time, he'll whimper for a little, then zonk out. It's almost as if it's the trade off with him now hating bath time.

2/18/10: I have been sticking my tongue out at him to see if he'll mimick me. Today, he did it back when we were at the doctor's office. It was the cutest thing ever.

2/20/10: During my shower, Vaughn sits in his vibrator/rocking chair. The chair has a toy bar with a butterfly, another bug, and a lady bug. The lady bug has a handle on it. When you pull the handle, "When You're Happy and You Know It" plays. Vaughn grabbed the handle all by himself today for the first time. However, he couldn't figure out how to let go so we listened to the high-pitched song about ten times in a row until he got frustrated and let go.

2/21/10 (night of): Vaughn rolled onto his stomach from his back in his crib at night. It seems as if he likes to nap on his tummy, but he can't sleep as long. And even though he rolls over to his back from his stomach almost every day during playtime with me, he can't seem to return to his back when he's int he crib. This makes him very frustrated and upset!

3/1/10: Vaughn has officially turned into a tummy sleeper this week. As soon as we put him down, he rolls over, gets on to his knees, lifts his butt off the ground and is out for the count!

3/4/10: As soon as we put the bottle in front of Vaughn's face, he puts both of his arms out and reaches for his food. He is also starting to grasp the bottle with both hands. He can feed himself for a few minutes then he gets lazy and wants the bottle held for him. He's growing so fast!
