day 114: nolan's birthday bash recap

I realized I never posted any photos of our little birthday bash for Nolan. If we would've had a party it would've been Vaughn's friends and then if they had younger siblings which a few are Nolan's age. We decided to not have a party for that reason and instead had a family get together. It was Vaughn, Nolan, daddy, me and....

pappy, nunny and mammy! Thank goodness for Skype and FaceTime! 

 Vaughn helped me make Nolan an organic apple cake made all with apples - apple juice concentrate, homemade applesauce, apples and some flour; no sugar!

 It's a weird orange color because we let Nolan pick out the food coloring for the homemade cream cheese frosting and he picked red which turned very bright pink so Vaughn thought we should add yellow to make orange. He's learning his primary and secondary colors at school!

 Happy birthday (AGAIN) Nolan. You are ONE year and FOURTEEN days today!
